The Story Behind the Cover Art
In the fall of 2010 I was on a road trip with my friend Gašper, exploring northern Slovenia. We started the excursion from Ljubljana and headed for the hills, to a traditional herdsman settlement high up on an alpine plateau called Velika Planina; a very interesting site to visit. From there the mountain roads continue, twisting and turning north toward Solčava, Logarska Dolina, and the Pavlič Pass over the Austrian border. On the route there, not far south of the settlement of Luče, is this old mill on the side of the road. It’s called Žagerski Mlin. The mill is over 250 years old and is the only operating watermill in the upper Savinja Valley. In 1990 there was a flood in the area, causing damage to the mill, however it was restored in 1996. Gašper and I stopped for some photos and a hike around the location before continuing on our journey. The place certainly left an impression on me, and so I decided to use one of the photographs I took there and turn it into the cover art of the EP.
